Marcus Raskin (b. 1934- ) is the co-founder of the progressive think tank, the Institute for Policy Studies, located in Washington, DC and an author of numerous books and articles. In 1961 Harvard sociologist David Riesman recommended Raskin, a recent graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, to McGeorge Bundy, the National Security Advisor to the newly elected president, John F.
